There's something quietly radical about making something with your hands.
This 5-week Introduction to Handbuilding is your guided entry point into the world of clay — a course designed to slow you down, build real skills, and leave you with a collection of pieces you actually made, from start to finish.
Over five Thursday evenings, you'll move through the core foundations of handbuilding: pinching, coiling, and slab construction, as well as surface design, texture, and finishing. Each session builds on the last. By the end, you'll have a body of work — functional, sculptural, and entirely yours.
No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to show up.

The first 3 sessions are where the magic really starts, so we'd love to have you there from the beginning. Those weeks set the foundation for everything you'll build, and we don't want you to miss them. For anything that comes up in weeks 4 and 5, we'll find a way to fit you in during a Wednesday evening membership session so your pieces stay on track and your collection gets the attention it deserves.
