About the Experience
Have you always wanted to try the potter’s wheel or make your “ghost dreams” come to life in clay? This class is your moment.
We’ll guide you step by step — from centering the clay to pulling walls and forming your first vessel. Each guest gets personal attention in our limited-capacity studio, so you’ll leave with both a sense of accomplishment and a piece of art you created with your own hands.
This is more than a pottery class — it’s a mindful, playful, and sensory experience where creativity flows, wine warms, and your first wheel-thrown vessel becomes a memory you’ll treasure.

Pieces will be fired and clear glazed at the studio by the team. If you desire to glaze your pieces with fun colors and personalize them further, you can add on below a painting session for Wednesdays after your pieces are bisque fired.

Imagine sitting down to a holiday meal on dishes you made yourself.
The Tableware Collection is a 5-week course where you'll design and hand-build your own dinnerware set from scratch — plates, bowls, cups — between 6 and 12 pieces that are functional, cohesive, and completely personal. Start now and have your collection ready just in time for the holidays.
Using slab-building techniques and molds, you'll work through the full process: constructing, refining, trimming, and finishing a collection that reflects your own sense of style. This isn't a kit. It's yours from the first slab to the final glaze — and it'll be on your table by December.
Some clay experience is helpful but not required — what matters most is that you're ready to commit to the process and see it through.

Ornament Night is an evening of slow making — a chance to hand-build and paint a small set of ceramic ornaments before the season really begins. Not your average pumpkin night.

Discover the beauty of slowing down and creating with your hands in this 5-week Introduction to Handbuilding — a guided journey through the foundations of working with clay.
Each class will explore techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building, as well as surface design and finishing. By the end of the course, you'll have a collection of functional and sculptural ceramic pieces — all made by hand and fired in our kiln.
No prior experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to play with clay.

This one-hour pottery painting session is designed for past workshop participants who want to paint their own ceramic pieces instead of having them clear glazed.
If you’ve taken a class or workshop at Atelier and your piece has already been bisque fired, you can book this session to return to the studio and apply your own glaze colors. This is a relaxed, self-guided painting hour with access to studio glazes and guidance as needed.
Sessions take place on Wednesdays from 6:30–7:30 PM. This service can only be scheduled at least two weeks after your original class, once your bisque-fired piece is ready for glazing.
You’ll arrive, pick up your bisque-fired piece, paint it using studio glazes, and leave it with us for glaze firing. Once fired, you’ll be notified when your piece is ready for pickup.
Includes studio glazes, tools, glaze firing, and one hour of studio time.
This session is not a handbuilding or wheel class — painting only.
Perfect if you want to add your personal touch and choose your own colors before the final firing.

Some mornings are meant to be explored slowly.
Tides & Textures is a 90-minute, ocean-inspired art social created for children ages 4–7 and one special adult to experience together.
Families will move through thoughtfully prepared invitations using non-toxic air-dry clay, water, light, paper, shells and natural mark-making materials. Children will explore surface design, press patterns and textures into clay, experiment with water and movement, and observe how light, transparency and shadow transform different materials.
There is no single project to copy and no expected final result. Each invitation gives children the freedom to make creative decisions, develop their ideas and create something distinctly their own, with their adult participating beside them.
More than a traditional children’s class, this is a small and relaxed creative gathering where families can slow down, make art together and connect over coffee and light bites.

How the Morning Unfolds
Families will be welcomed into the studio and invited to explore the materials at their own pace. Some children may become absorbed in pressing intricate textures into clay, while others may be drawn to experimenting with water, transforming paper or creating with light and shadow.
Adults are encouraged to participate—not to direct the artwork, but to notice, wonder, create and enjoy the process alongside their child. The experience remains flexible and responsive, allowing each family to move through the invitations in the way that feels most natural to them.
No previous art experience is needed. Come ready to explore, get a little messy and see where the materials take you.
Caregiver Participation
This is a caregiver-participation experience and is not a drop-off program or childcare service.
Each child must attend with a registered adult who remains present, participates and actively supervises the child throughout the entire event. The attending adult is responsible for the child’s safety, behavior and use of the materials, including while moving between invitations and enjoying refreshments.
