Over five Thursday mornings, you'll move through the core foundations of handbuilding: pinching, coiling, and slab construction, as well as surface design, texture, and finishing. Each session builds on the last. By the end, you'll have a body of work — functional, sculptural, and entirely yours.

5-Week Tableware Set Handbuilding Course (Thursdays, May 14 – June 11 · 6:00–8:00 PM)
$380.00

Imagine sitting down to a meal on dishes you made yourself.

The Tableware Collection is a 5-week course where you'll design and hand-build your own dinnerware set from scratch — plates, bowls, cups — up to 12 pieces that are functional, cohesive, and completely personal.

Using slab-building techniques and molds, you'll work through the full process: constructing, refining, trimming, and finishing a collection that reflects your own sense of style. This isn't a kit. It's yours from the first slab to the final glaze.

Some clay experience is helpful but not required — what matters most is that you're ready to commit to the process and see it through.

🕖 Time: 7:00 PM–9:00 PM

• Welcome herbal teas, wine, and light bites

• Intention-setting journaling prompts

• One portion of clay per guest

• Guided hand-building session

• Clay, tools, and full studio use

• Pickup in 2–3 weeks after drying and firing

About the Experience

We begin slowly.

Upon arrival, you’ll settle in with tea or wine as the space fills with soft music and candlelight. Before touching the clay, we’ll guide you through a short grounding meditation to help you arrive fully — physically and mentally.

From there, you’ll move into intention-setting. You’ll reflect, journal, and choose what you’d like this piece to hold for you — clarity, softness, courage, release.

Then we transition into clay.

Each guest will receive one portion of clay and be guided through accessible hand-building techniques to create a vessel or sculptural form that feels aligned with their intention. This is not about perfection or technical mastery. It’s about presence.

Your finished piece will remain at the studio to dry slowly and be fired twice. It will be clear-glazed by the ATELIER team to preserve the natural texture and integrity of your work. Pieces will be available for pickup within 2–3 weeks.

Ceramic Ceremony is designed as a monthly reset — a space to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself through material, ritual, and community.

Come alone.

Bring a friend.

Leave grounded.

One Time Pottery Painting Class - Only for previous Participants
$50.00

This one-hour pottery painting session is designed for past workshop participants who want to paint their own ceramic pieces instead of having them clear glazed.

If you’ve taken a class or workshop at Atelier and your piece has already been bisque fired, you can book this session to return to the studio and apply your own glaze colors. This is a relaxed, self-guided painting hour with access to studio glazes and guidance as needed.

Sessions take place on Wednesdays from 6:30–7:30 PM. This service can only be scheduled at least two weeks after your original class, once your bisque-fired piece is ready for glazing.

You’ll arrive, pick up your bisque-fired piece, paint it using studio glazes, and leave it with us for glaze firing. Once fired, you’ll be notified when your piece is ready for pickup.

Includes studio glazes, tools, glaze firing, and one hour of studio time.

This session is not a handbuilding or wheel class — painting only.

Perfect if you want to add your personal touch and choose your own colors before the final firing.

The Way of the Mud · Blue Lotus & Clay Somatic Experience (Sunday, June 7th · 5:00–7:00 PM)
$135.00

From mud, the lotus blooms.

The Way of the Mud is a ceremonial clay experience created in collaboration between ATELIER Ceramic Studio and Valentina Parra Silva — a two-hour somatic journey guided by the medicine of Blue Lotus tea, the grounding intelligence of your hands, and the quiet transformation that happens when you finally stop rushing.

Inspired by the symbolism of the Blue Lotus — a flower that rises from dark waters into beauty and bloom — this evening invites you into a space of presence, embodiment, and intentional creation. You will arrive as you are. You will leave with something made by your own hands, infused with your own intention.

No experience required.

Event Details

📅 When: Sunday, June 7th

🕖 Time: 5:00 PM–7:00 PM

📍 Where: ATELIER Ceramic Studio, 753 NE 79 St. #761, Miami, FL 33138

👥 Limited capacity for an intimate experience

What's Included

  • Blue Lotus tea ritual upon arrival

  • Guided somatic grounding meditation

  • Intention-setting practice

  • Hand-building instruction and guided clay creation

  • One handmade ceremonial object — yours to keep

  • Curated ambient music and intentional atmosphere

  • Drying and bisque firing handled by the ATELIER team

  • Piece ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks

What You'll Make

Each guest will hand-build one ceremonial clay object — an incense holder, ritual mug, candle holder, altar bowl, jewelry dish, or small vessel. What you make will depend on where the evening takes you.

How the Evening Unfolds

We begin with tea.

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed into a slow, sensory space — Blue Lotus tea in hand, soft music, candlelight, and the kind of atmosphere that signals: you can exhale now. Valentina will guide you through a gentle somatic arrival — a short practice of breath and reflection to help you land fully in your body before your hands ever touch the clay.

Then we move into intention.

You'll reflect on what you'd like this piece to hold — what you're releasing, what you're calling in, what needs a physical form to become real.

Then we move into mud.

Guided by both Valentina and the ATELIER team, you'll hand-build your ceremonial object at your own pace, in your own way. The clay will meet you where you are. This is tactile meditation. Creative ritual. The healing that only comes from making something with your hands.

Your finished piece will remain at the studio to dry and be bisque fired by our team. It will be ready for pickup within 2–3 weeks.

Little Potters — Weekly Enrollment | A Summer Art & Pottery Camp for Kids · Ages 5–9 · Miami - SUMMER CAMP EDITIONS
$225.00

Some kids come home from summer camp with a lanyard. Little Potters come home with a bowl they made with their own hands.

Little Potters is a themed weekly art and pottery camp for kids ages 5 to 9 at ATELIER Ceramic Studio in Miami's MiMo district. Three mornings a week, every week has a new theme, a new project, and a new reason to get messy. Kids work with clay, paint, and a rotating mix of hands-on art activities — all in a real working ceramic studio with a real instructor who loves what she does.

No experience needed. Just curiosity, a willingness to get clay on your hands, and a smock.

What a week looks like:

We start the week with clay. Kids get their hands into the material, build something connected to the week's theme, and work on it across the first part of the week — pinching, coiling, rolling slabs, adding texture and details until the piece feels finished and fully theirs.

Midweek we transition into color. Kids paint and decorate their own pieces using underglaze, bringing their clay work to life with color, pattern, and personality.

We close every Friday with a take-home same-day art activity. Canvas painting, watercolor, tote bag decorating, rock painting, and more — something they walk out the door with that day, no kiln required.

Every week is self-contained. Kids can join for one week or come back all summer — each theme is completely different so there is always something new to discover, make, and take home.

What's included every week: — All clay, tools, glazes, and studio materials — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions, 10:00am to 1:00pm — Theme-tied projects across pottery and art — Kiln firing for all clay pieces — Fired pieces ready for pickup 2 to 3 weeks after the session ends — Friday take-home activity — no kiln needed, they leave with it that day

Studio Artists — Weekly Enrollment | A Summer Pottery & Art Camp for Tweens · Ages 8–13 · Miami - SUMMER CAMP EDITIONS
$235.00

Studio Artists is a themed weekly pottery camp for tweens and older kids ages 8 to 13 at ATELIER Ceramic Studio in Miami's MiMo district. Three afternoons a week, students work with clay at a level that respects their age and their intelligence — building more complex forms, learning real hand-building techniques, and finishing pieces they are genuinely proud of.

Every week has a new theme and a new set of projects. Students who come back week after week build a real body of work across the summer.

What a week looks like:

We start the week with clay. Students build an ambitious hand-building project connected to the week's theme — slab-built forms, coil vessels, sculptural pieces, lidded boxes — techniques that take focus and patience and produce something that looks and feels like it came from a real studio.

Midweek we go deeper. A second clay project tied to the same theme — different technique, different form, building range and confidence. Some weeks this is sgraffito, some weeks relief carving, some weeks a purely sculptural build. The work gets more complex as the summer progresses.

We close the week by bringing color to Monday's piece. Students paint and underglaze their first project of the week, making decisions about palette, pattern, and finish that are entirely their own. On weeks where the clay needs more drying time, Friday shifts into a theme-tied painting activity on canvas or paper — always connected to where we are in the summer.

Every week is self-contained. Students can join for one week or build across the whole summer — each theme is completely different and the projects never repeat.

What's included every week:
— All clay, tools, glazes, and studio materials
— Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions, 2:00pm to 6:00pm
— Theme-tied clay projects across three techniques per week
— Kiln firing for all clay pieces
— Fired pieces ready for pickup 2 to 3 weeks after the session ends

Summer 2026 weekly themes:

A note on age placement: Studio Artists is designed for ages 8 to 13. Students on the younger end of that range are placed at instructor discretion based on maturity and creative readiness — not just their birthday. If your child is 8 or 9 and you are not sure which program is the right fit, email us before booking and we will help you decide.

Interested in wheel throwing? Studio Artists is a hand-building program — no wheel throwing. If your tween wants to learn the wheel, our Wheel Throwing Intensive runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons separately and is available as an add-on or standalone course for ages 10 to 16.

Wheel Throwing Intensive: A 2-Week Ceramics Course for Teens · Ages 10–16 · SUMMER CAMP EDITIONS
$350.00

Wheel Throwing Intensive is a focused 2-week ceramics course designed for teens ages 10 to 16 who want to learn a real skill — not just make a project. At ATELIER Ceramic Studio in Miami's MiMo district, your teen will learn to center clay, open a form, pull the walls, trim their piece, and apply glaze. From raw clay to a finished, fired bowl or vessel they take home.

What's included in every block:
— 4 throwing sessions (Tuesday + Thursday, 2–4pm) over 2 weeks
— 1 glazing + painting session (the following Thursday)
— All clay, tools, glazes, and studio materials
— Kiln firing — both bisque and glaze fire
— Up to 6 fired and glazed pieces to take home
— Finished pieces ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after the paint session

How the course works:

Week 1 — Your teen gets on the wheel. We cover centering and opening the clay, the two hardest skills to learn — and the most satisfying to crack. Most students throw their first recognizable form by Thursday.

Week 2 — We refine the form, practice trimming leather-hard pieces, and each student completes their final pieces. By the end of Week 2, every student leaves with a collection of work they're proud of.

Week 3 (Paint Day) — Students return on Thursday to glaze and paint their bisque-fired pieces. This is the payoff session — seeing what they made transformed by color and glaze is genuinely exciting.

After the glaze fire — Finished pieces are ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after the paint session. We'll email you as soon as they're ready.

A note on this course: The wheel is humbling. It takes patience. Your hands will get covered in clay and not everything will go the way you planned — and that's exactly the point. Teens who take this course leave with more than a ceramic piece. They leave knowing they figured something hard out.

Your child walks in, gets their hands in clay or picks up a brush, and spends four hours making something connected to where the group is in the week. The work is real, the techniques are real, and the studio is the real thing.

What a session looks like:

Depending on the day they join, students will be working with clay using hand-building techniques, decorating and underglazing their own pieces, or painting on canvas tied to the week's theme. Every session has a clear project with a beginning and an end — students don't float, they make something.

What's included:
— One 4-hour session, 2:00pm to 6:00pm
— All clay, tools, glazes, and studio materials
— Instruction and supervision throughout
— Kiln firing for any clay pieces made that day
— Fired pieces ready for pickup 2 to 3 weeks after the session
