Some kids come home from summer camp with a lanyard. Little Potters come home with a bowl they made with their own hands.
Little Potters is a themed weekly art and pottery camp for kids ages 5 to 9 at ATELIER Ceramic Studio in Miami's MiMo district. Every week has a new theme, a new project, and a new reason to get messy. Kids work with clay, paint, and a rotating mix of hands-on art activities — all in a real working ceramic studio with a real instructor who loves what she does.
No experience needed. Just curiosity, a willingness to get clay on your hands, and a smock.
What a week looks like:
We start every week with clay. Kids get their hands into the material, build something connected to the week's theme, and work on it across the first part of the week — pinching, coiling, rolling slabs, adding texture and details until the piece feels finished and fully theirs.
From there we transition into color. Kids paint and decorate their own pieces using underglaze, then shift into a bisque painting session where they work on pre-made ceramic pieces tied to the theme — mugs, plates, figurines — and bring them to life with color and pattern.
We close every Friday with a take-home same-day art activity. Canvas painting, watercolor, tote bag decorating, rock painting, and more — something they walk out the door with that day, no kiln required.
Every week is self-contained. Kids can join for one week or come back all summer — each theme is completely different so there is always something new to discover, make, and take home.
What's included every week: — All clay, tools, glazes, and studio materials — Monday through Friday sessions, 10am to 1pm — Theme-tied projects across pottery and art — Kiln firing for all clay pieces — Fired pieces ready for pickup 2 to 3 weeks after the session ends — Friday take-home activity — no kiln needed, they leave with it that day

Cancellation & attendance policy: Cancellations made 7 or more days before your week's start date are fully refundable. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable. Missed individual days cannot be made up — please plan your schedule accordingly before booking. If ATELIER cancels a session for any reason, a full refund will be issued.

Once enrolled, you will receive a confirmation and a link to complete our Enrollment Agreement and Liability Waiver. This must be signed before your child's first session. No signed waiver on file means no entry on Day 1.
