The Way of the Mud · A Blue Lotus Tea & Clay Ceremony (Sunday, August 23rd · 4:30–6:30 PM)
An evening of ritual, creativity, and nervous system restoration.
Join us for the second gathering of The Way of the Mud, an intimate ceremonial experience co-created by ATELIER Ceramic Studio and Valentina Parra.
As we enter Virgo season—a time devoted to ritual, craftsmanship, and honoring the sacred through our daily lives—we gather to slow down, restore our nervous systems, and move from inspiration into embodiment. Through Blue Lotus tea, intentional presence, and the grounding intelligence of our hands, we transform inner intention into tangible form.
In a city that rarely slows down, this evening offers something different.
A chance to unplug from the noise, soften into your senses, and rediscover the quiet wisdom that emerges when we create with our hands.
Inspired by the Blue Lotus—a flower that rises through murky waters into bloom—this experience is an invitation to pause, reconnect with yourself, and shape a ceremonial object infused with your own intention. More than a pottery class, this is a restorative ritual where creativity becomes meditation, and the creative process itself becomes the medicine.
No previous pottery experience is necessary—only a willingness to arrive exactly as you are.

What You'll Create
Each guest will hand-build one ceremonial clay object—a mug, incense holder, altar bowl, candle holder, jewelry dish, or small vessel.
Rather than following a template, you'll be invited to let intuition lead the way, allowing your piece to emerge naturally through presence and play. Each creation becomes a tangible reminder of the intention you choose to cultivate during the evening.
How the Evening Unfolds
We Begin in Ritual
You'll be welcomed with a warm cup of Blue Lotus tea into a candlelit, sensory space designed to help the body soften and settle.
Through a guided somatic practice, Valentina will gently lead you inward—inviting your breath to deepen, your nervous system to restore, and your awareness to return to the present moment before your hands ever touch the clay.
Then We Set Intention
Before creating, you'll take time to reflect.
What are you ready to release?
What are you ready to welcome?
What part of yourself is asking to be expressed?
Together, we'll explore how intention becomes more powerful when it's given physical form.
Then We Create
Supported by Valentina and the ATELIER team, you'll shape your ceremonial object byhand, moving at your own pace.
There is no pressure to create something perfect.
Only an invitation to listen.
To play.
To breathe.
To discover the quiet intelligence that emerges through touch, rhythm, and presence.
The clay becomes a mirror for the creative process itself—teaching patience, trust, and the beauty of allowing something meaningful to unfold one gesture at a time.
At the close of the evening, your piece will remain at the studio to dry and be professionally bisque fired.
It will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–3 weeks—a lasting keepsake of the
intention you brought into form and a reminder that transformation begins not through rushing, but through devotion.
